Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Project Manager (Construction). This person will be responsible for owning overall execution of large projects, This includes design, construction of facility, and installation/commissioning of the client's equipment. These projects range from 5Mil to 50Mil so previous experience with projects of this level are important.



The ideal candidate will have a strong design and build construction background, and should have industrial experience.



Day to day includes:

You will need to have a strong Mechanical Engineering aptitude, a Design/Build Construction background and demonstrate extensive experience Project Managing complex industrial construction and equipment projects.



Specific responsibilities include (but not limited to):



- Personal ownership for the delivery of the project which entails meeting scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives established.



- Serve as the main interface to client and inspire confidence



- Strict management of the overall project budget including reporting and forecasting



- Evaluation, contracting and oversight of general contractors or other sub-contractors

Required Skills & Experience

- 10+ years of experience within Project management leading large construction projects (5Mil +)

- Design and Build Construction Experience

- Experience working with industrial equipment, construction related projects

- Strong technical knowledge and aptitude

- Excellent customer facing skills

- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, specifications, details, and job orders as well as the ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical engineering design and assembly drawings

- Complete understanding of cost estimating, budgeting, and forecasting

- Ability to apply engineering principles to construction challenges, identify and implement solutions

- Experience in process engineering, documentation, and metal working preferred

- Ability to travel 20-25% of the time
