CLP Engineering (CLPE) is seeking an Electrical Designer to join our
engineering team who are responsible for planning, design, construction,
operations, and maintenance of electrical distribution systems. The
Electrical Designer will develop, prepare, check and coordinate designs
and drawings needed for plant electrical systems per applicable standards and
codes. This position will collaborate with engineers to gather required
information and complete tasks and calculations to complete drawing packages.
CLPE is a full-service electric utility solutions engineering firm with more
than twenty years' experience in electrical utility system ownership,
upgrades, maintenance and operations through our sister company, City
Light & Power. CLPE offers a wide range of power system engineering services
to investor-owned, municipal, cooperative, government, industrial,
and commercial customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop accurate designs complying with recognized drafting standards,
company practices, policies and procedures.
Prepare and oversee electrical power system design including single line
diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics and wiring diagrams.
Develop plans, elevations and sections of various electrical systems,
inclusive of below ground and above ground designs.
Substation design will be a key responsibility of the Electrical Designer.
Perform conduit and cable sizing calculations, ground grid layouts, and
details.
