This position requires extensive travel within the college's service area; some overnight travel within the state of Texas; some after hours work required.


This is a 12 month, benefits eligible position. Blinn College pays 100% of health insurance for full time employees, 50% for dependents, and two times your annual salary in life insurance benefits. Optional coverage’s can begin on your first active duty date. If you would like to review insurance benefits in advance, you can access the New Employee Benefits Guide online, http://www.ers.state.tx.us/New-Employee/Insurance/. Leave time includes 96 hours vacation, 40 hours discretionary and 16 hours personal each year and 8 hours sick each month. Paid leave for college designated holiday’s, spring break, thanksgiving and Christmas break (approx. 25 days per year)

Position Summary Information

Objective
Represents and recruits for Blinn College by corresponding with prospective students, their parents, and high school officials; attends college night/day programs, maintains relationships with the appropriate faculty and staff to provide the most accurate information to prospective students.

Principal Accountabilities

Principal Accountabilities
1. Makes presentations and recruiting visits for the College by communicating with prospective students, their parents, and high school officials about the College, the admissions process and available programs and degree plans. Provides general advising regarding admissions process, TSI, financial aid, endowed scholarships, campus housing, and all associated application processes necessary for enrollment.

2. Attends College Day/Night events inside and outside the service area and collects student prospect cards at each event to recruit prospective students to the college.

3. Collaborates in developing, coordinating, and conducting on and off campus events and activities for prospective students.
