Responsibilities

The Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) Engineer will support the National Air & Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB). Responsibilities include characterization testing, data analysis, target research, data retrieval, data processing, analytic visualizations, intelligence report writing, and collaboration with DoD entities to support mission essential elements of the project life cycle.



PNT Engineer will:

Perform characterization testing/data exploitation of real-time SATNAV dependent navigational equipment and hardware to solve technical intelligence questions.
Analyze collected PNT data based on identified evaluation measures and metrics.
Assist team members in identifying key findings/observations based on data analysis.
Assist in data retrieval, processing, exploitation, and dissemination of PNT-based intelligence reports.
Conduct hardware assessments associated with cybersecurity aspects of the DoD PNT Enterprise.
Collaborate with IC and DoD agencies on projects in relevant areas.
Write detailed reports and brief Air Force senior leaders on key intelligence findings to support strategic decisions.
Coordinate with team members to ensure a consistent, analytically sound evaluation methodology is utilized in accordance with Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs).
Knowledge of SATNAV phenomenology, capabilities, and limitations.
Familiarity with NASIC mission, products, and role in the IC and DoD community.
Ability to research advanced topics independently or as part of a highly skilled technical team.
Demonstrated oral and written communications, including the ability to prepare briefings of technical material to technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

Required:

BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM degree program.
Ability to manage, manipulate, process, and exploit PNT from multiple sources.
Proficiency in the following languages: C, C++, C#, Python.
Ability to create intelligence visualizations depicting analytic findings.
Strong technical writing and briefing skills.

Demonstrated ability to work productively with diverse organizations across the DoD, civil Government agencies, other branches of government, and international representatives and agencies.



Desired:

Master's Degree in related field.
Proficiency working with GNSS test equipment and control software's such as BroadSim, Spirent, and Panacea.
Experience in designing and creating exhaustive test bench matrices.
Ability to streamline bench testing and data analysis via automation of hardware configuration through remote communication.
Ability to design, develop, integrate, and verify new architectures and testing capabilities for DoD PNT community.

Clearance Requirements:

Top Secret Clearance required
TS with SCI eligibility is desired.
U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
