OVERVIEW
The Value Stream Leader delivers results by aligning goals, coordinating resources, developing team members, provides solutions and removes roadblocks to ensure Value Stream Objectives are met. The Value Stream Leader is accountable for all processes, communication, performance and KPIs from order entry to shipment to the customer for the value stream. This role will keep a high focus on the customer, constantly be striving for excellence and driving continuous improvement in the entire value stream.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Associates Degree in business management, as technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience
Five (5) + years' experience in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated experience leading / directing others
Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing practices and experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment
Must have good oral and written communication skills
High proficiency and skilled at navigating through SAP to analyze material movements, scrap, demand, BOMs, routings, STOs, cost management
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work well in a team environment
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Proficient in developing charts and graphs from data sets in Excel
Must be proficient in Root Cause Analysis Problem Solving
Must possess an awareness and understanding of performance against budget.
Champions customer focus and awareness of customer needs.
Must maintain a "Hands-on" style of working, willing and capable of taking a lead role in technical problem-solving efforts.

Must be flexible regarding working hours. Must be able to support all shifts and work evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Ensures that staff is contributing at maximum potential through rigorous hiring practices and an emphasis on training and development initiatives, including coaching and counseling direct reports in their performance and professional development, with final authority for approving pay increases, hiring decisions and disciplinary actions.
Emphasizes ethical leadership and decision-making to protect Pelican?s brand and reputation.
Establishes challenging, productive and achievable goals for direct reports; measure results by establishing checkpoints to track progress.
Must be able to travel, nationally and internationally, as necessary.
