Responsibilities



Are you a visionary leader who is ready to elevate your career in mental healthcare leadership? We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Nurse Manager who provides clinical excellence and administrative leadership to nurses, techs, and health unit coordinators on our inpatient units that support the mental health and wellbeing of our child, adolescent and youg adult patients.
The hours required for this position will be Monday - Friday from 3:00pm - 11:30pm.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Responsible for hiring, monitoring and evaluating staff performance
Works collaboratively with the Chief Nursing Officer and other Nurse Managers to establish and implement patient care practices that are evidence based and patient centered
Identify incident trends and areas for improvement and lead performance improvement activities
Spends approximately 10% of their time, working alongside and supporting staff in direct patient care, role modeling professionalism and therapeutic nurse-patient relationships
Acts as a resource for staff regarding clinical care
Ensure that the requirements set forth by the Minnesota Department of Health for hospital licensure, CMS and Joint Commission for the delivery of safe and effective care and treatment are carried out at the unit level






Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
Two years clinical experience in Psychiatric Nursing required
Previous supervisory, lead or charge experience preferred
Ability to smoothly and rapidly shift between dissimilar tasks
Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
Ability to react quickly and calmly as part of a team to handle volatile and potentially emergency situations
Ability to make effective decisions while in stressful situations and circumstances
After training, be able to manage disruptive and explosive patients.
Licensure in State of Minnesota as RN required.
