Radiologist (General Diagnostic or Interventional) – Akron General

Akron, OH, US

req#: 905744
Location: Akron, OH
Facilities: Cleveland Clinic Akron General,
Professional Area: Physician

Schedule: Full Time

Cleveland Clinic is currently seeking Board Eligible/Certified Radiologists to join a group of established Radiologists at Akron General Medical Center (AGMC) in Akron Ohio. AGMC is a Trauma Level I hospital.

There are opportunities for both general and interventional radiology.

  • General Diagnostic Radiology: Formal fellowship training in Body Imaging preferred but can be offset with experience. Our radiologists enjoy an interesting and diverse case mix. Some sub-specialized cases are read by our main campus radiologists.
  • Interventional Radiology: Formal fellowship training in Interventional Radiology is required and a Certificate of Added Qualification in Interventional Radiology by the American Board of Radiology is strongly preferred. Staff candidates should have experience in peripheral vascular intervention, TIPS, hepatobiliary, genitourinary, gastroenterology, embolotherapy, venous interventions, elective venous procedures, tumor therapies, pain management, and dialysis access procedures.

We take great pride in placing a strong emphasis on quality over quantity. Our radiologists are not measured solely on productivity, as we believe it is more important to maintain manageable workloads to allow our radiologists to focus on quality outcomes.

The Division of General Radiology includes an extensive system of community hospitals and ambulatory care facilities as well as imaging centers in the Greater Cleveland/Akron, Ohio area. All departments and outpatient facilities are networked with PACS (AGFA EI), Voice Recognition (Powerscribe 360) and EMR (EPIC).  This continues to evolve as the Cleveland Clinic invests in state-of-the-art technology as one of the largest integrated systems in the U.S. Our staff is collegial, and our mission is excellent patient care.
