The Opportunity:

As a Machine Learning (ML) Research Engineer, you're excited at the prospect of building algorithms that leverage data to address critical problems never before solvable by computer. As an ML research engineer at Booz Allen, you can help turn these complex data sets into useful algorithms to solve global challenges. Across private and public sectors we need you to help turn data into informed decision making.

On our team, you'll use your analytical skills, domain knowledge, and artificial intelligence expertise to create real-world impact. You'll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their environments and workflows to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You'll develop systems and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into useful algorithms to help clients make informed decisions and build cutting-edge systems.

You Have:

2+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages, including R, MATLAB, or Python

Experience with developing deep learning algorithms using structured and unstructured data sources and frameworks, including Tensorflow or Pytorch

Experience with developing data models, quantitative analyses and visualization of targeted data sources

Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Generative Models, or Natural Language Processing

Secret clearance

Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

2+ years of experience in the development of algorithms leveraging R, Python, or MATLAB

2+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining

2+ years of experience with Distributed data and computing tools, including MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL

2+ years of experience with Machine Learning, Generative AI or NLP

Experience with visualization packages, including Plotly, Seaborn, or ggplot2

Knowledge of radar, communications systems, digital signal processing, or time-series analysis

TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,000.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
