Our location in Plymouth, MN, currently has an opportunity for a Process Development Engineer II.

THIS IS AN ON-SITE DAILY POSITION.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Responsible for process development, equipment specification, acquisition and implementation.
  • Works to identify root cause using structured problem solving.
  • Understands engineering principles theories, concepts, practices and techniques.  
  • Analyzes and solves problems from basic engineering principles, theories and concepts through to a wide range of complex and advanced problems which require novel and new innovative approaches or a major breakthrough in technology.
  • Completes design of experiments, validation, completion of testing and analysis of data for continuous improvement activities. Presents data to equipment teams.
  • Suggests and supports new methods or materials for continual improvement of quality and efficiency.
  • Analyzes current equipment for process suitability and provides detailed plans for improvement
  • Creates and revises manufacturing documents, specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety instructions, validation protocols, risk assessments, and procedures and other technical documents to ensure compliant, efficient and safe procedures
  • Works with other engineers and technicians in developing solutions and improvements in materials, equipment and process as necessary
  • Participates in teams as necessary to ensure continual improvement, safety and compliance
  • Provides training and process expertise for product processing in specific areas such as process development, tooling development and validation.
  • Interacts cross functionally and with internal and external customers.  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING:

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree plus 2-5+ years of related work experience with a good understanding of specified functional area, or Master's degree with 0-2 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred experience

* Medical device experience

* Catheter experience

Minimum Experience / Training Required

(Technical/Business Knowledge (Job Skills)) Working technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices and procedures.  General understanding of business unit/group function. Will perform this job in a quality system environment.  Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.; 

(Cognitive Skills) Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors.  Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Has a broad knowledge of technical alternatives and an understanding of their impact on the systems environment.

The base pay for this position is $60,000.00 – $120,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
