Job Description

Fleet maintenance mechanics perform preventive maintenance on Class 8 tractor trailer semi units

Third shift positions available. 4 Day work week - 10 hour shifts, occasionally OT is required.



Essential Duties:

- Maintain and repair equipment to operate a safe fleet
- Ensure compliance with all State and Federal trucking regulations
- Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment
          - Brakes
          - Rear trailer doors
          - Structural welding
          - Tires
          - Suspension and axles
          - Electrical lighting
          - Engines


Requirements:

- The applicant must posses a DOT health card
- The applicant must possess their own set of tools.


Skills:
- Computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems
- Vocational or Technical certification preferred
- Ability to perform vehicle diagnostics with the use of scan tools.
