The Logistics Program Manager shall provide logistics management support on tasks necessary to develop and facilitate Government approval and execution of C-130J aircraft system during acquisition and/or sustainment phases. In-depth knowledge, analytical skills and current experience in; transportation requirements and processes, maintenance planning, packaging and handling, field support, parts support, sustainment strategy development, Diminishing Manufacturing Resources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), and/or system overhaul planning.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and/or participate in the implementation of a proactive Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) Program
Be an active member of the C-130J Weapon System Obsolescence Management Team
Perform DMSMS analysis and/or lead/assist in formulating program DMSMS strategy letters
Lead and/or participate in developing "Guidebook of Best Practices and Tools for Implementing a Robust DMSMS Management Program, to include forecasting, evaluating and reporting
Review, prepare input to and update to the DMSMS ILS plan, and identify and recommend logistics related and required documentation as required
Resolve field support issues such as; status reporting to lead command and using command as required, communicating with field operating locations, researching field logistics support problems and issues, and funds approvals from Air Force Materiel Command
Monitor Integrated Logistics Plan (ILS-P) to include verification and publication dates
Participate in all DMSMS program meetings and provide briefings in support of system being managed
Monitor spares delivery schedules, address parts obsolescence impacts through the DMSMS program
Write logistics DMSMS inputs for PWSs
Initiate packaging and provisioning requirements
Provide special tooling requirements for procurement action
Coordinate and assist Government and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) personnel to determine acceleration and compression quantities for surge exercises and deployments
Actively participate in lead- and user-command exercises; providing status, gathering, coordinating and providing status for Temporary Mission Support Kit, Mobility Readiness Spares Package and War Reserve Materiel kits, shipments and deployments
Provide inputs on Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs)
Coordinate and assist Government personnel in preparing briefing charts and delivering briefings for all C-130J program tasking’s and activities
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
MS, BA or BS degree in a Logistics, Sciences, Math, Business, Management, or any other relevant technical discipline is required
4 - 9 years of directly related Logistics experience
Must have C-130 experience
Must be able to report in office on occasion

Standing in work areas and walking between work areas will be required.
