Job Summary:  Are you currently pursuing a degree in Mining Engineering and eager to gain hands-on experience in the field? We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Mining Engineer Interns. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with experienced mining professionals, contribute to innovative drilling and blasting projects, and utilize cutting-edge technology to shape physical landscapes across the western United States.

This position will closely collaborate with industry experts to design and safely execute drilling and blasting projects.

Job Requirements:

- Currently pursuing a degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Tech-savvy, eager to learn, adopt/implement and develop new
technology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills exhibited.
- Naturally maintain positive, cooperative working relationships by working, acting, and
communicating with various personalities and people of different backgrounds.
- Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Organized work approach; to adapt and adjust as required to support the
needs of multiple projects.
- To work independently and take initiative when needed.
- Eagerness to learn and a genuine passion for the mining and blasting industry

Job Duties:

- Conducts drone and rover surveys on-site before operator arrival to capture essential data for
project analysis.
- Utilizes Strayos, Drill & Blast Design Tool, to create precise 3D models of project sites using
collected survey data.
- Develops drill pattern designs using automated tools within Strayos to ensure optimal
efficiency and precision.
- Creates blast hole loading and timing designs within Strayos, prioritizing safety and
effectiveness.
- Transmits drill pattern designs to Smart Drills for operator utilization.
- Performs post-blast drone surveys when necessary to evaluate the outcome of blasting
operations.
- Assists Rock Drill Operator(s) in the operation of hydraulic drills on quarries, mines, and
construction and development projects.
- Assists Blaster(s) in Charge in all day-of-blast activities, ensuring work is executed in
accordance with the Blast Plan.
- Assists with any and all responsibilities to support the Rock Drilling and Blasting Operations.
