Cook: (5) Fulltime, Temporary, Peak Load (H-2B) Jobs available 04/01/2025-11/30/2025. Employer: La Cosina, Inc., 273 E. Fairmount Av., Lakewood, NY 14750. Duties: Produce high quality food according to recipes and menus or knowledge in a timely, organized manner. Prepare season and cook soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food items in a restaurant. Ensure a high level of sanitation and safety at all times. May wash dishes as needed. Physical ability requirements: Must be able to life and carry weight sufficient to lift, carry, and move equipment and material necessary to complete assigned tasks. Employer will rely on worker to assess if worker meets this qualification. Lodging is available in rental housing at a rate of $75/person, per week, if utilized the amount of $75 will be deducted on a weekly basis from the worker's paycheck. Employer to provide transportation to and from multiple worksites in Chautauqua county, from designated location: 273 E. Fairmount Ave. Lakewood, NY 14750. No education is required. 3 months prior work experience is required. Employer will provide on-the-job training for duties that will be required. Must able to lift, carry, and move equipment and material necessary to complete assigned tasks. Employer will rely on worker to assess if worker meet this qualification. Applicants must complete an employment application Work Days: Employer will offer 35 hours per week, rotating schedule Tuesday through Sunday, shift times: 1 0:00am-2:00pm, 4:00pm-8:00pm, 4:00pm-9:00pm, 5:00pm-9:00pm. Workdays and shift times may vary with occupancy and events. Each worker will have a 30-minute lunch break. Applicant must be able, willing, qualified to perform work described, and must be available for the entire period specified, and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Employer will ask the applicant for a verbal commitment to work the entire stated period. Do not apply if you do not think you can pass a post-hire random drug screening (at employer's expense). Employer may conduct an in person or over the phone interview A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Monday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made. Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.88/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts.
