Office Manager (with HR and Finance Experience) FULLY REMOTE POSITION
Pay Rate: $25-$30/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Type: Fully Remote
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Office Manager with experience in both finance and human resources (HR). This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our remote office while managing key financial and HR functions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong ability to balance administrative duties, financial oversight, and HR management.
Key Responsibilities: Office Management:
- Oversee daily office operations, ensuring an efficient and productive work environment.
- Manage employee and vendor relationships.
- Organize company meetings and manage the GPS calendar.
- Implement and maintain office policies and procedures.
- Provide administrative support to leadership as needed.
Financial Management:
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely payments.
- Prepare and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and monthly reports.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Collaborate with external accountants and auditors for accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain financial systems, including bookkeeping software and financial records.
Human Resources Management:
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
- Maintain employee records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Administer employee benefits and coordinate open enrollment processes.
- Oversee employee performance reviews, training, and development initiatives.
- Address employee relations issues and mediate conflicts as needed.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR best practices.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Act as a liaison between employees and management regarding administrative, financial, and HR matters.
- Work closely with leadership to support company goals and strategic initiatives.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving office efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Qualifications: Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience 1-3 years as an Office Manager, HR Manager, or Finance Manager.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, HR practices, and office operations.
- Certifications: HR and/or QuickBooks
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in financial and HR software: QuickBooks and Gusto.
- Advanced skills in Google Suite (Google Sheets) and MS Office Suite (Excel).
Soft Skills:
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Ability to adhere to directions and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project management skills.
- Familiarity with employment law and payroll tax compliance.
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional flexibility required.
