Hardware test tools development team is looking for C developers with strong hardware background who can devlop and maintain our tool which is extensively used across IBM for hardware system test and characterization .

Your Role and Responsibilities
Hardware test tools development team is looking for C developers with strong hardware background who can devlop and maintain our tool which is extensively used across IBM for hardware system test and characterization .
As part of this team you will
- Design and implement solutions based on new hardware requirements and deliver features to the hardware test teams.
- Interact with test teams and and come up with solutions and improvements which help to test the system effectively and efficiently.
- Participate in design flow discussions, code review meetings, and follow team specific design and coding guidelines.
- Fix bugs and support test teams in resolving issues
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 4-6 years of experience in software development using C
- Excellent coding, testing and debugging skills [using GNU tool chain]
- Experience in using / creating / maintaining makefile based build environments
- Understanding of computer organization and architecture – processor, network, storage and interconnect
- Good experience in Operating System internals – threads, processes, system calls, signals, interrupts & exceptions
- Proven skills in scripting languages (Shell/Python)
- Fair exposure to hardware concepts – I2C, SPI, FSI, JTAG, Scom, Seeproms etc..
- Familiarity with software development processes with version control using GIT
