The University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks a radiologist for a faculty position in the Section of Abdominal Imaging at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. The section covers all aspects of Abdominal imaging, including CT, PET/CT, MR, Radiography, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, and image guided procedures, with faculty sub-specialization where appropriate. The department has 3T and 1.5T clinical and research MR scanners, PET/MR fusion, hyperpolarized MR, newest generation dual source/dual energy CT scanners, CT fluoroscopy interventional systems, and Ultrasound equipment with 3D, fusion, elastography, and contrast-enhanced capabilities. The Abdominal section participates in several multidisciplinary conferences and is heavily invested in resident and medical school education.
The University Medical Center campus has 1000 beds and radiology services are also provided for the adjacent Baltimore VA Medical Center and remotely for several University affiliated system hospitals and off-campus imaging facilities.
Expected rank is Assistant Professor or higher. Rank and tenure status is dependent on candidate’s qualifications, and appointments to the School of Medicine will be made at an academic level appropriate for the candidate’s experience.
