JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: Are you a current MCW employee

future with us! In the role of Lab Supervisor you will beworking in
Translational and Biomedical Research Center . Purpose Supervise
laboratory personnel, and responsible for overseeing daily operations,
quality and timeliness of lab activities. Primary Functions \* Supervise
staff including hiring, training, performance reviews, coaching and
corrective actions; oversee daily operations of the laboratory. Perform
onboarding and offboarding protocols for lab staff. \* Develop and
perform complex lab research procedures requiring specialized experience
in several areas of lab investigation. \* Oversee supplies and ongoing
expenses related to area of research. \* Perform experiments related to
the project area. \* Maintain and monitor commonly used reagents, such
as buffers and growth media. Manage tissue culture room, including hood
cleaning, incubator decontamination, media stocking, liquid nitrogen
levels in cell dewars, and properly disposing of biohazard waste. \*
Participate in meetings with the principle investigator and staff to
evaluate and interpret data, determine methodologies and evaluate lab
procedures impacting the quality and timeliness of research. Help with
scheduling rooms and maintaining lab calendar. \* Analyze data using
statistical methodologies; may produce graphic results. \* Demonstrate
procedures and provide individualized instruction for lab staff, and
trainees. \* Operate, calibrate and perform routine maintenance on
specialized equipment, train lab staff in its use as necessary. \*
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Assist with IBC
protocol approval. \* Communicate with researchers in other
laboratories; share ideas and research methodologies to improve the
effectiveness of the research. \* Keep abreast of research techniques
and methodologies that might facilitate designated research projects.
Knowledge - Skills - Abilities Knowledge of biology, chemistry,
mathematics, documentation, and records management. Data utilization,
complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, and
writing skills. Proficiency with organization of lab reagents and
records, ordering, and inventory. Skills in performing basic laboratory
wet lab work. Preferred Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00-5:00 Position
