JOB REQUIREMENTS: Looking for a meaningful career opportunity? Waushara
County is currently accepting applications for a full-time Highway Crew
Foreman. This position manages day to day operation of Highway Crew,
providing supervision, appraising productivity and efficiency, handling
complaints, managing workload distribution, reviewing techniques to be
used for road maintenance and repairs. High School diploma with four to
six years additional training in heavy equipment operation and
maintenance. Requires possession of a valid Wisconsin Driver\'s license
and Commercial Driver\'s License, with endorsements for air brakes,
combination vehicles, and tanker. Wage range is \$25.38- \$27.46 (based
on relevant experience), plus benefits. Online application and position

direct, instruct, assign, lead, reward and discipline personnel in a
manner consistent with the Highway Commissioner/Superintendent\'s
instructions, the Department\'s work rules and policies, the
Department\'s labor agreement, and industry safety standards so that
assigned projects can be completed in a safe, timely, cost effective and
quality manner. 2. Make oral and written reports on project progress and
costs, employee assignments, policy and work rule violations, accidents,
equipment performance, fuel usage, employee performance, materials
used/sold, equipment utilization, and other events or items. 3.
Authorize employee work time beyond the normal work hours; confirm and
adjust employee timecards when necessary to accurately indicate the
employee\'s time at work. 4. Make oral and written personnel
evaluations, equipment evaluations, and facility evaluations. (Examples:
Determine if personnel meet the posted position requirement; determine
if proposed equipment purchases are appropriate; determine if highway
facility needs repair; and make appropriate recommendation.) 5. Plan,
schedule, expedite, and coordinate highway activities including, but not
limited to, the assignment of work crews and individual employee tasks,
equipment utilization, material usage and work by contractors/others. 6.
Continually inform and advise the Patrol Superintendent on such matters
as personnel issues, personnel requirements and utilization, project
equipment requirements and utilization and equipment purchases. 7.
Recommend and participate in project budget preparation. Using available
resources, monitor, control and mange project costs associated with
personnel, equipment and materials. 8. Be available 24/7 for
emergencies. 9. Other duties as assigned by the Highway Commissioner.
\*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Four to six years
experience in road maintenance and or construction. Specialized training
in road maintenance, safety, and equipment operation. Training in DSPS,
