Receiving Dock Associate
The Dock Receiver is primarily responsible for providing receiving and delivery support to various departments through the Athol campus as well as driving the company vehicles to support mail runs, material pick up and order delivery within the local market. The deliveries within the factory may require the use of forklifts or other power equipment, floor truck or carts. The Loading Dock Receiver will also be responsible for providing additional support to various projects as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy and quality
Record shipment data as required for record keeping
Ensure all required and necessary safety precautions and policies are strictly adhered to
Assist in the loading and unloading of materials from vehicles
Truck driving, as required: pickups and deliveries to post office, local suppliers and customers
Perform chauffeuring duties for the factory, as needed
Material handling with the factory
Ability to perform physical activities including: walking, lifting, climbing, sitting, stooping, pushing, pulling, standing and bending within a manufacturing environment with varying conditions: temperature, dust, noise, oil/grease.
Qualifications:
HS Diploma or GED required
Valid driver's license, DOT certified a plus
Must have the ability to obtain a DOT license
Excellent communications skills at all levels of the organization
Skilled in the safe and proper use of dollies, forklifts and other power equipment for moving materials throughout the facility
Must be able to lift to 40 lbs.
Education Requirements:
Minimum high school diploma or GED
