Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Traveling weekly and driving required
- Assemble parts and sub-assemblies together to form completed cabinetry, desk, credenza and other units.
- Ability to read shop drawings, blueprints, diagram and take oral or written instructions to assemble products and understand dimensions/specs.
- Cut timber to the right size and shape and trim parts of joints to ensure a proper fit, if applicable
- Review all CNC parts to verify they are correct prior to assembling.
- Clean all parts and hardware prior to assembling.
- Understand Safety Regulations and utilize proper safety equipment to aid in preventing injury.
- Understand Employee Handbook
- Take care of Ideal Image property tools, benches, etc.
- Clean and maintain safe working environment.
- Report damage to parts or product immediately
- Review all finished product to verify the unit is free of damage after unloading and prior to installing.
- Verify all hardware is in working order.
- Additional tasks/duties as requested/required.
- Physically demanding job including heavy lifting, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling and standing for long periods of time.
- Ensuring that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed, bringing problems to the attention of the Foreman, Safety Director, or HR Manager
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver's license prior to employment.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- 2-5 Years Experience in Carpentry Preferred
- Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions.
- Knowledge of power tools, including miter saw and jigsaw.
- Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
- Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings of furniture.
