 ABOUT THE ROLE

Be a part of a team that supports testing highly complex turbine engine products. As an Electrician here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems. The Electrical Services team is responsible for fabricating, maintaining, and testing electrical systems and components to support the development and certification across Honeywell’s product line of aircraft engines. This role will support new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans within the organization's business strategies, with a direct impact on business results.You will collaborate with other experienced engineers and technicians to provide a test experience for our customers that applies best practices to achieve world-class results.

  • Use measuring and diagnostic tools to test and modify electronic parts to ensure systems and components meet established specifications

  • Drive improvements in a challenging environment

RESPONBILITIES

  • Maintaining test cell equipment (480VAC pumps, motors, panels)

  • Troubleshooting and terminating PLC’s

  • Building and fabricating harnesses, control panels, etc. per engineering drawings

  • Shift: Monday-Friday 5:30a-2p (Must be able to work weekends as needed on a monthly rotational basis)

    U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

MUST HAVE

  • 5+ years experience in an electrician role performing electrical maintenance

  • 2+year electrical apprenticeship

  • High School Diploma or GED

WE VALUE

  • Journeyman’s license

  • Associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology or similar

  • Experience working in a test environment

  • Familiarity with lab equipment such as multimeters, frequency generators, and oscilloscopes

  • Experience troubleshooting VFD-related issues and implement effective solutions

  • An understanding of electronics and industry standard processes, particularly, IPC-A 610

  • Read and understand electrical schematics, equipment drawings, and blueprints

  • Strong safety background (NFPA 423, NFPA-70E, NEC, Arc Flash)

  • Experience in Soldering

  • Excellent planning, execution, and project-management skills; consistently taking the initiative to get things done, doing things before being asked by others or forced to by events

  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with other individuals in a team setting as well as with customers to define requirements and provide support
