Job Description:

Technical Writer (100% Remote, $41/hour)

Role Overview: Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation for diverse audiences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document complex technical information. Train users and IT staff on applications and emerging technologies, and maintain the project document repository.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and project managers.
Create and maintain user guides, API documentation, technical specifications, and release notes.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation.
Review and edit existing documentation for accuracy and consistency.
Update documentation with software changes and manage version control.
Conduct quality assurance checks on documentation.
Improve and streamline the documentation process.
Develop installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance documentation.
Analyze documentation requirements with technical and business staff.
Develop curriculum and instructional design, including teaching aids.
Maintain the project document repository.

Basic Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in technical writing, documentation, or instructional design.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
