QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

-Must possess basic math and measuring skills
-Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control.
-Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
-Ability to operate and maneuver a forklift and pallet jack through narrow openings.
-Ability to perform computer functions as they pertain to this job including but not limited to: UPS, FedEx and other common carriers.
-Ability to understand and communicate in English to the extent necessary to perform all functions of the job.
-Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

12 months related experience or training

Job Description:
SUMMARY: Responsible for the efficient and safe movement of parts and materials throughout the production and shipping process as well as a variety of job specific maintenance duties.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

-Moves stock, raw materials, or parts to and from production areas throughout the fabrication process.
-Moves stock, raw materials loading trucks, delivery vehicles, or storage racking using handling equipment such as various forklifts, pallet jacks, and hoist.
-Verifies deliveries for accuracy by comparing shipment to manifests, packing slips, or invoices.
-Sorts and stores delivery items in accordance with established programs and systems or assignments and locations.
-Assembles product containers and crates, using hand and/or power tools and lumber.
-Installs protective devices to products, such as bracing, padding or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
-Inspects packaging, materials, and products to ensure that packaging specifications are met.
-Measures, weighs, and counts products and materials.
-Records location of materials and parts in GSS.
-Maintains cleanliness of shop floor by operating a floor sweeper or scrubber.
-Performs cleaning, routine inspection and preventive maintenance (such as changing and watering forklift batteries) on assigned equipment and refers defects or repairs to supervisor or lead person.
