We are excited about what we do, and we need you on our team as we take on exciting challenges for NASA’s pursuits in deep space exploration. Jacobs is NASA’s largest engineering solutions provider working together with NASA at centers across the United States.

We are looking for an Electrical Power Systems (EPS) Engineer to support Gateway’s Habitation and Logistics Outpost (HALO) project.  HALO is the first pressurized module for NASA’s Gateway, an outpost that will orbit the moon and provide a temporary home and workplace for astronauts. The selected candidate will be joining our team with JETS II Teammate company, GeoControl Systems, Inc.

This is your chance to be an interface, or bridge, between the EPS and flight software teams.  You will need to learn HALO’s EPS system and how it works.  Then, you will help review/tailor the software algorithms to ensure the software is performing the required functions at the correct time.   This is an oversight role that will not need to write software/code, but will need to understand what is needed, review it, and provide comments.

The Electrical Power Systems Engineer will:

  • Ensure requirements are satisfied by the software design solutions by reading pseudo-code and functions
  • Have system level EPS experience and be knowledgeable of flight software
  • Be involved in algorithm making
  • Understand and review test results from EPS/Software testing (results look code-like)
  • Perform other duties as required
