Assistant Professor, (N-T Trk Clin), Orthopedic Surgery
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The person in this position is responsible for providing direct patient care, including surgery, consultative services, outpatient services and care of hospitalized patients. He/She participates in all activities in all aspects of the Department including conferences and lectures, beside teaching and rounds; house staff supervision in the operating room, clinics, and in-patient services; continuing medical education; and local regional and national meetings. Students include medical students, house staff, nursing students and allied health students. In addition, the person in this position will have administrative responsibilities including supervising and evaluating residents, providing medical direction and participating in committee memberships at the department and health system level. This will provide clinical and surgical services at the new Friendswood Clinic Location.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidate should be a graduate of an accredited medical school,
- Have completed an ACGME approved residency training program in orthopaedic surgery with an interest and training in general orthopaedic surgery,
- Be Certified/Board Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery
- Be eligible for a Texas Medical license without restrictions.
