JOB SUMMARY:  
As an Ohio CAT Field Technician you will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair general heavy equipment, engines, and drive-train components, electrical and hydraulic systems, from a company service truck, in the field, often times at customer job sites. Responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and maintaining engines and/or heavy equipment components, such as torque convertors, final drives, undercarriage, hydraulic pumps, and much more. REQUIREMENTS:  
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • College and/or continued education in a technical field are a plus.
  • Experience related to construction or heavy equipment service and repair is required, preferably with Caterpillar equipment.
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record in accordance with Ohio CAT standards
  • Strong technical service skills, mechanical aptitude, and experience with construction or heavy equipment required, and strong DC electrical and machine electronic system knowledge is crucial
  • Must have the ability to follow technical material and apply processes and procedures as necessary to complete repairs and manufacturers’ updates, as required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  
  • Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling
  • Standing/Sitting Up and down stairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines
  • Dexterity Normal
  • Repetitive Motions Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
