Job Description:
Need 21 full-time, temporary, seasonal Farmworkers/Laborers to work in Stewart, MN.
From: 06/24/2024 - 11/04/2024
Work: 38 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 6.5 hrs./day, Sat. 5.5 hrs./day. Saturday work required. As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

JOB DUTIES: Plant, cultivate and harvest vegetables, weed and thin plants. Tie vegetables in bunches. Grade, size and sort product with mechanized packing equipment. Sort graded vegetable crops in appropriate containers according to packing instructions. Deliver pallets of finished product to cold storage. Load/unload product. Prepare orders for shipping. Keep material and product records accurately. Cleaning and sanitation of tools, equipment and working area required. May use power equipment to perform tasks, must operate agricultural equipment safely, with or without direction. Assist with general farm building/farm maintenance.
Water, feed and herd livestock to pasture for grazing, and to the corral and/or stall. Maintain/repair fences used to contain herd animals. Examine animals for injuries, and/or diseases and assist with livestock vaccination. Apply medications to livestock as needed. Perform general herd care. Supervisors will provide directions to workers.
Crops/Commodities: Livestock and crops including zucchini, cucumbers, cabbage, green beans, winter squash onions, peppers, sweet corn, beans and grains. Employer agrees to provide all tools, equipment and supplies that are required for the job, at no cost to the worker. Workers with driver's license, and clean driving record may drive company vehicles.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
