Sr. AWS Cloud Architect
Location: Anywhere in United States, remote (Mason- OH / Boston- Massachusetts preferred)
We are looking for Sr. AWS Cloud Architect for an immediate need. This is a client-facing role & the candidate will have regular interactions with various client leaders.
Roles & Responsibilities:
* Participate into customer's Cloud first initiatives, strategy, approach and roadmap.
* Establish best in class FinOps governance architecture to optimize cost Proactive and Reactive.
* Work with customer Application team to understand the application utilization patterns and map with infrastructure utilization by implementing - horizontal scaling, autoscaling.
* Application peak utilization Scale Up and Scale down the Infra.
* Implement catalog-based application migration plan and defense over provisioning of the resources at 1 level.
* Tagging implementation, verification, and automation planning,
* Should know about VMware CloudHealth tool to understand its reporting and how to create new reports.
* Implementation advisor to Application, Database and Middleware teams to utilize AWS cloud native services.
* Must know about Control tower and Organization based deployment methodology and how many root accounts service and commercials credits can be aggregated to utilize the AWS credits framework.
* Expert into ITSM and Agile processes to deliver the day 2-day operations and migration projects. Should act as technical sprint lead to guide the PoD,
* Plan and Design core AWS platform architecture, including areas such as: Organizations, Account Design, VPC, Subnet, segmentation strategies, Cloud Endure, MGN, DataSync, Backup and DR approach/design, Network connectivity, Direct Connect, TGW and VPN
* Should be able to set up of Multi Account Architecture using Landing Zone, Control Tower, Vending Machines etc.
* Experienced in Security mechanism using AWS Security Hub, Guard Duty, AWS Config, AWS Network Firewall, AWS Inspector.
* Work with AWS CloudOps L2 and L3 team for deployment and configuration management.
* Scripting experience and the ability to develop AWS EAC (Environment as code) - added advantage.
* Automation / IAC (infrastructure As Code) Solutions using CloudFormation, Terraform.
CloudFormation and third-party automation approach/strategy, Environment and application automation.
* AWS Cost Management and Optimization mechanisms.
* Design and Implement AWS architectures and environments. Must have experience in implementing the WAF - Well Architected Framework.
* Design Native Cloud Application Architectures or optimize applications for AWS.
Qualification and experience required: -
Total of 12 to 16 years of experience into DCs migration, optimization, transformation, and DC virtualization
Demonstrated ability of 3 to 5 years of experience for AWS cloud infrastructure design, deploy and delivery.
Certifications: -
* AWS Certified Solutions architect - Professional Level - Optional
* AWS Certified Solutions architect - Associate Level - Mandatory
* ITIL v4.0 or Agile certified - required.
Skill Proficiency:
AWS Solution Architect - 6-7 years- Expert level
FinOps- - 5-6 years- Expert level
AWS EAC - 6-7 years- Expert level
Automation Planning - 6-7 years- Expert level
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $[131,400 - 146,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
