<b>Position Summary</b></b>
<br>
<br>The Manufacturing Intern will partner with the manufacturing engineering and operations team on a variety of projects and assignments to contribute to the overall business unit objectives. This internship will focus on daily production support, continuous improvement projects, fixture design, as well as process and documentation updates. This is a full-time intern position for the summer of 2024, based in Plymouth, MN.<br>

<b>Principal Responsibilities</b></b>
<br>
<br>&bull; Support production needs under the guidance of Manufacturing engineers<br> &bull; Performs troubleshooting on existing products/process problems as related to design, material, or processes<br> &bull; Supports engineering change order creations and writes justifications for changes<br> &bull; Assist with document changes and updates<br> &bull; Developing and writing validation protocols and reports (i.e. IQ)<br> &bull; Design, prototype, and build fixtures used in daily production<br> &bull; Collaborates cross-functionally with engineers and production staff<br> &bull; Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned<br>

<b>Education / Experience Requirements</b></b>
<br>
<br>&bull; High School Diploma or equivalent required<br> &bull; Candidates must be currently enrolled in an Engineering Bachelor's degree program<br> &bull; Sophomore or Junior level preferred<br> &bull; Previous internship experience preferred<br>

<b>Specialized Skills / Other Requirements</b></b>

<br>&bull; Well organized with attention to detail and ability to carry out tasks independently<br> &bull; Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills<br> &bull; Demonstrates project management and problem-solving skills<br> &bull; Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel<br> &bull; Willingness to learn and ask questions <br> &bull; Proficient in Solidworks and or comparable CAD software<br>

<b>Working Conditions / Physical Demands</b></b>
<br>
<br>&bull; Exposure to high production/output machinery and equipment, and constant noise in the production/plant environment.<br> &bull; Consistent lifting: 2 - 20 lbs. necessary/ Max = 50 lbs.<br> &bull; Engages in walking, sitting, lifting, bending, carrying, talking, and hearing.<br>
