Job Title - Material Processing Maintenance Technician

Purpose
Responsible for Preventative and Corrective mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance.
Functions
Read schematics for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic and make repairs and installations off those.- Fill out reports on work performed and keep track of production down times as well as repair times.
- Troubleshoot and repair Ethernet and Device net systems.
- Repair overhead cranes and hoists.
- Repair CNC based equipment.
- Repair tools and ancillary production equipment such as presses, band saws, pumps, spray guns, and sanders
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Reporting Relationship
This position will report to Material Process Superintendent
Must have basic to intermediate computer skills.
Requires effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Three to five years mechanical and electrical maintenance experience.
- Have knowledge and experience of operating overhead cranes.
- Welding experience desired.

- Ability to demonstrate effective trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safe operation and use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors and employees.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Must be able to work at heights, climb and balance and be able to lift 50 lbs.
Working Conditions
This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.
- Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night
- Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place
- Work surface is stable (flat)
