The Senior Customer Sales Analyst is a vital internal sales position that delivers business insights and volume growing recommendations through category research to Customer Business Teams (CBT). The Sr Analyst ensures that customer, consumer, and internal information is used to build knowledge and insights that can be used to improve overall performance and results through identifying new & existing business opportunities across our categories.
The Sr. CSA specifically supports Target at a scale of $600MM business, focusing specifically on the Frozen and Refrigerated categories. This position will back the application of category management to business issues, to provide an assessment through skilled, complex data manipulation of the sales controllable, including promotion, pricing, and assortment. Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Own the analysis of syndicated and household panel data to steer insights and business recommendations on the key sales controllable of distribution and assortment, pricing, and promotion

Coordinate information-training activities, drives data for sales planning, and continually works to improve sales category management value to the team

Ensures that the customer, consumer, and category insights are delivered successfully through effective collaboration with sales, our business units, & finance through routines

Conduct critical category rituals, including annual and periodic assessments

Leads the analysis of data & information to roll-up effective story-telling for both internal & external stakeholders, supporting key category business building initiatives
Expected Experience & Required Skills

Tested experience leading more than one annual cycle of analytics & data ownership for a sales position in a CPG organization, exhibiting strong analytics skills to develop comprehensive business plans

Tested skills within a Sales role owning business process & category management for a complex portfolio

Proven ability to work autonomously and plan, organize and set/achieve priorities when performing workacross cross-functional and external stakeholders

Clear examples of exhibiting polished interpersonal skills (written, verbal, and presentation)

Exhibits potential or previous experience to work within a Customer Business Team framework

Tested proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and proprietary Sales systems such as IRI, Spark, etc

Reside in the greater Minneapolis geography or open to relocation
Work Environment & Schedule
This is a Hybrid role with 3 days a week in the local office, with periodic travel or visits to external locations; offices are open workspaces. Additionally, this role requires working a salaried, exempt schedule to best execute against customer and internal expectations
Physical demands include but not limited to

Willingness to drive and/or travel as needed

Operate a computer and view screens for ~100% of work schedule
