The Dispatcher is responsible for providing the supervisor with quality operations and clerical support.  The dispatcher may also be responsible for providing information requested by the administrative staff. 

Qualifications:
Two years of college education OR a high school diploma with a minimum of two years clerical/data entry experience.

The eligible candidate must be able to type 40 words per minute accurately.  Must be able to work in a team-effort environment, possess a pleasant personality, and relate well with others.  Must have the ability to follow detailed instructions with limited supervision after proper training.  Attention to detail is required. 

Duties of the Position
1. Scheduling and dispatching drivers and vehicles to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests or immediate needs.
2. Validating trip information through the scheduling and dispatching system. Assisting with other features of the scheduling and dispatching system as assigned.
3. Troubleshooting errors that are exhibited in the scheduling and dispatching system.
4. Relaying information such as work orders or other messages to and from drivers and supervisors.
5. Using telephones, two-way radios, or text messages to contact clients, employees, or emergency personnel.
6.  Speaking with supervisors or customers to resolve problems or requests for service.
7. Preparing daily work such as schedules.
8. Preparing work orders for drivers or receiving work orders from drivers.
9. Keeping and organizing work requests, customer requests, completed work requests, charges for work performed, expenses for services performed, inventory records and other information.
10. Other duties as assigned.
