JOB REQUIREMENTS: As the Business Development Director at Sterling, you
will be a key part of the Sterling value proposition and serves as a
market differentiator for Sterling. Reporting directly to the VP of
Business Development, you will work to establish and develop
relationships with existing and prospective clients to understand
business objectives and priorities; seeking alignment with Sterling\'s
capabilities and bring forward opportunities for partnership. These
activities are accomplished through the direction, delivery and
optimization of development services and custom manufacturing facility
sales for Sterling, within the assigned geographical region. In
addition, you will work closely with the Sterling commercial team
(Marketing, Partnership Management and Commercial Operations) to ensure
the service Sterling delivers is in line with our values (Be
Transparent, Be Willing, Be Reliable, Be Caring). Your responsibilities
Grow sales and profits for the business units through direct sales
Develop new accounts in cooperation with the business and technical
teams. Establish and maintain high level relationships at key accounts.
In agreement with business directors negotiate significant business
contracts/opportunities. Prepare and achieve sales forecasts. Execute
price strategy within agreed guidelines. Support participation in major
trade shows. Provide competitive market data. Interact with technical
services to provide total sales/technical service representation to
customers. Recommend and implement sales tools (Sales process,
literature, brochures). Embody our company values, which are: be

role Bachelor\'s degree in a scientific discipline required. Master\'s
degree preferred. Pharmaceutical, biotech or fine chemical industry
experience required. CMO or CDMO experience preferred. Prior experience
in a professional customer-facing sales role required. This individual
must be located in the Boston, MA area and have a heavy API CDMO
