Landscape/Hardscape Laborer - 5 fulltime, temporary, seasonal (H-2B) jobs available 4/1/2025 - 10/31/25. Employer: Sweeney Company LLC, 73 Ushers Road, Mechanicville, NY 12118. Duties: Assist in the installation of landscape and outdoor living areas with mortarless dry set patios and retaining walls. Assist with all aspects of the project including excavation and grading of site, installation of crushed stone base, move, cut and install patio and wall block, final/grade topsoil, seed lawn, and install plants, mulch, decorative stone. Install, cut and finish paving stones and block. Assist in maintaining and stocking trucks, equipment and tools. Ensure that everything is operational. Keep job site organized and clean. Load and unload tools and material from trucks and trailers and relocate on site as needed. Dig, shovel, wheelbarrow materials for install. Rake and grade stone, soil, and mulch. Plant shrubs, small trees, grass and sod. Ability to lift 40-80 pounds regularly. Travel to client worksites located in Warren, Washington, Albany, Schenectady, Rensselear, and Saratoga counties from designated location: 73 Ushers Road, Mechanicville, NY 12118. Post hire drug testing may be performed upon suspicion, paid for by employer. No education required. 3 months of experience required. Work hours vary: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. 40 hrs/week at $21.08/hour. OT hours at $31.62/hour. Work 42.5 hours/week. Bonuses/raises may be paid at employer discretion based on performance, skill, tenure. Employer will assist workers with securing housing, but employer will not provide housing. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Friday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made. Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.88/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts.
