Job Description Summary

The Service Product Expert L3 Network Design and Implementation International (f/m/d) is a hybrid L3 Service-Tech-Support gatekeeper role for IT based products of PCS and ND&I, being responsible for providing expert remote technical support services to Regional Field Engineers, Regional Support Leaders and L2 Tech-Support functions.
The person is also providing technical product trainings and general IT education in order to achieve service readiness in zones within International.
The candidate participates as member of quality assurance groups when approving service strategies and documentation, including NPI introduction activities.
This is a remote role where you will work out of your home office. The successful candidate will need the ability to support customers in the Central European Time Zone.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Product Gatekeeper and Tech. Support role for the International Service Business in terms of Network Design & Implementation and the PCS digital based product portfolio.
  • Contributing knowledge and maintaining problem solution database.
  • Stakeholder role with peers in the team for IT-based NPIs of the ND&I and Ecosystems segment towards securing Service Readiness within the International region, working close with zones, engineering, and product teams.
  • Provide product trainings to the International wide audience, partly remotely and partly at training HQ .
  • Collaborate with engineering groups to drive product quality, reliability and serviceability.
  • Support and review training material and conduct technical trainings for Regional Engineers, Field Engineers and Distributors

Requirements:

  • The Engineer should have a broad understanding of all components of Information Technology in the current marketplace, including workstations, servers, operating systems, software applications, data communications hardware and software, local area networks, wide area networks, metropolitan area networks, network and computer security, Internet server solutions, remote access solutions. 
  • Person possesses one or more BS degrees Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Information Technology or 4 years of experience in biomedical product service.  
  • Engineer should obtain or hold Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent networking experience.
  • Ability to handle/resolve multiple ongoing difficult technical related issues.
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex technical issues and product trainings in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Strong English skills, verbal and written.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within International region.

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • Virtual Environments
  • Kubernetes
  • Basic Shell scripting
  • Giltlab CI/CD (pipelines)
  • Prometheus/Grafana
  • Basic Linux debugging commands network related
