McKesson Compile's data is a comprehensive, fully linked system of record for the U.S. Healthcare market, with intelligence on 2M+ healthcare professionals (HCPs) and over 800K facilities. Compile's data includes high capture medical and pharmacy claims, closed capture Medicare claims (100%), along with best-in-class provider affiliations and customer master. The Director of Business Development will be a driving force in originating and fostering relationships to identify and nurture opportunities for sustained growth from life sciences clients and strategic partners. Partners include data & technology firms, McKesson businesses, and corporate McKesson entities. They will lead in the establishment of strategic partnerships and alliances with internal McKesson and external organizations. They will work alongside others in the growing McKesson Compile business development team as well as McKesson enterprise colleagues.

Additional responsibilities:

Educate the broader McKesson organization around McKesson Compile and applications. Utilize the resources, expertise, and networks of partner organizations to optimize revenue streams, expand market reach, improve product distribution, and innovate existing offerings.

Collaborate closely across McKesson Compile functions to contribute to the formulation of comprehensive business plans, strategies, and objectives, ensuring alignment with overarching organizational goals.

Serve as lead and key liaison to other McKesson businesses such as CoverMyMeds and Ontada.

Conduct thorough competitive analyses, continuously monitor industry dynamics, and maintain a deep understanding of market conditions to inform strategic decision-making.

Apply expertise in life science use cases (commercial, RWE/HEOR, clinical, medical affairs, market access, etc.), data governance, privacy, and due diligence processes to assess potential opportunities like new markets, mitigate risks, and maximize returns on investment.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, clients, partners, and external advisors, to drive consensus and facilitate decision-making processes.

Stay abreast of regulatory developments, privacy requirements, and industry best practices relevant to business development activities, ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards.

Provide insights and recommendations based on market research and trend analysis, contributing to the development of strategies that enhance the organization's competitive positioning and profitability.

Demonstrate strong leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire teams, mentor junior colleagues, and foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration within the organization.

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$116,600 - $194,400
