DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Evaluates, directs, plans, and provides treatments for patients with a wide variety of disabilities to help them achieve a maximum level of functional independence. Documents patient care and results of treatment appropriately in the medical record to comply with policies and procedures of the department and regulatory agencies.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
Experience:
Two year experience preferred. Entry-level acceptable.
Education and Training:
Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in area of major.
License, Certification & Registration:
MAOT - MA OT License
Other Requirements:
Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prostheses that will enable these senses to function adequately so the requirements of the position can be fully met. Ability to use: Rehab equipment including but not limited to: splints, orthoses, prostheses, wheelchairs, ADL equipment and modalities. Must be able to work indoors and outside, in-patients rooms, therapy gyms, occasionally in a patient's home and in the community.
