Job Description

Primary Purpose

Responsible for the first review of waste stream approvals and selecting the appropriate facility based on customer's needs, Heritage policies, facility regulatory and permit requirements, facility capabilities, profitability, and safety to employees and the environment. Must keep current with regulations and individual facility permit requirements. Must have full understanding of the quotation and waste stream in the MMS and EIS systems. Working with 3rd party facilities to complete direct Approvals.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities


Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
Liaison between Customer and Approvals
Acts as a technical resource for Account Representatives
Assists Customers through the approval process
Helps build and maintain Customer relationships
Triage Internal vs. External for submittal to appropriate Approval Chemist (low, medium, high, 3rd party)
WS Preparation for Approval
Review lab data
Review SDSs
Universal Template Processing
Assist customers/knowledgeable of recertification program
Assist with off-spec process
Assist with bid/proposals
Special projects as assigned
Real time online assistance for Customers who are in EIS Profiling (chat feature)
Understand when to elevate issues
Enter issues into Intelex
Participates in Monthly Safety Observation Goals
Meet Company Safety Observation Goals
Quote replication ability
Strong working knowledge of RCRA, DOT, and State Regulations
Strong working knowledge of Heritage systems and capabilities
Check TSD/Contract restrictions for approvals
Working with 3rd party facilities to complete direct Approvals.

Education/Experience: A Four-Year Degree is required. A minimum of 5 years' of Customer Service or Technical role experience in an office setting is required. Experience in a Hazardous Waste or Environmental field is preferred.

Knowledge and Abilities: Requires strong organizational, problem solving, oral communications, writing and customer service skills. Strong software abilities in Microsoft programs, MMS, and EIS are required. Must be able to work well with internal and external customers. Strong knowledge of RCRA, DOT, and state regulations. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

A post offer drug screen will be required.
