The purpose of this position is to assemble optical components according to
customer specifications.
Assemble precision optical components, electronics, and mechanicals into
mechanical assemblies for laser systems at both the component and sub-system
levels.
Reports to Production Supervisor
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
• Operates precision cleaning machinery
• Performs blacklight (UVA) inspection of completed assemblies
• Uses cleaning cloths with Acetone, Methanol, and Isopropyl alcohol
to wipe surfaces prior to shipping product
• Follows control measures and processes to ensure the quality of modules
produced
• Package and label assemblies in strict accordance with the procedure
• Enters data into records. Audits data to ensure accuracy
• Recommends procedural improvements to management
• Identifies and documents discrepant material
• Employees are expected to serve as role models for safe work practices
and behaviors. This includes following established health and safety policies
and procedures, maintaining a clean, organized work area, wearing, and
properly storing all personal protective equipment (PPE), and actively
engaging as a safety-conscious worker with personal safety and wellness as a pr
