Manager Government Grants Programs
Job Summary
Manages the operations of a grants business segment within the Geisinger Health Foundation. Assures that Government Programs are functioning within required parameters and compliance standards. Assists all department leadership in understanding and complying with changing or new policies, regulations or standards that impact the Government programs.
Job Duties
- Works closely with key leadership to help monitor the day to day operations of the assigned Institutes and uses a focused portfolio approach.
- Assures that all performance standards meet or exceed internal standards and contractual requirements.
- Implements a process for continual quality improvement and operational efficiencies.
- Oversees the business requirements for contracted vendors and subcontractors to assure compliance with all reporting and compliance guidelines.
- Reviews all applicable training programs to meet or exceed government requirements.
- Collaborates to develop policies and procedures to meet and exceed all government performance requirements.
- Manages the work of the individuals reporting directly to this position. Coordinates and prioritizes work as needed.
- Provides individuals reporting directly to this position with guidance, training, counseling, and feedback.
- Prepares and conducts performance appraisals for individuals reporting directly to this position. Monitors workflow and overtime within the department and redistributes or prioritizes work accordingly.
- Coordinates interview process, interviews applicants, and selects candidates for employment. Remains sensitive to issues within the department and works with staff to resolve conflicts. Ensures consistent application of policies among staff.
- Ensures compliance with all Federal & State regulatory requirements.
- Liaison with applicable Federal and/or State government entities.
- Ensures that Government Programs projects that intersect with the Health System are cohesivend operational.

Position Details
Preferred experience in clinical program and/or capital improvement grants and the full life cycle of these grants, specializing in budgeting, financial reporting, and capital improvement programming.
