10 Fulltime H-2A Seasonal Jobs Available 04/01/2024 - 11/20/2024 Manually plant, cultivate, & harvest vegetables; tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, greens, cucumbers, lettuce, hemp, squash & herbs. Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, & knives. Duties include tilling soil & applying fertilizers; transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops. Construct trellises, repair fences & farm buildings. Set up & operate irrigation equipment. Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow & fertilize soil or to plant, cultivate spray & harvest crops. Repair & maintain farm vehicles, implements & mechanical equipment. Harvest vegetables by hand. Apply pesticides or fertilizers to crops. Inform farmers or farm manager of crop progress. Identify plants, pests, & weeds to determine the selection & application of pesticides & fertilizers. Clear and maintain irrigation ditches. Record information about crops, such as pesticides use, yields or costs. Must be physically able to lift up to 75lbs on a consistent basis throughout the day. Must have three months verifiable experience in above. Requirements: * Workers referred as a result of this order must have a minimum of 3 months of verifiable experience. * Lifting requirement of 75 lbs. * Extensive pushing/pulling, extensive walking, and frequent stooping/bending over. * Repetitive movements * Exposure to extreme temperatures The full terms and conditions of the job (form ETA790a) should be reviewed and provided to qualified applicants from this website: seasonaljobs.dol.gov.
