Fairview Health Services Patient Family Engagement Coordinator in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Overview

This position is responsible for planning, coordinating and executing the Masonic Children’s Hospital event and tour programs. Works closely with Child Family Life, Volunteer Services, the University of Minnesota Foundation (UMF) and other programs and departments. Functions in a supportive role, ensuring smooth day to day operations of the PFSS and Child Family Life departments.

Responsibilities Job Description

Job Expectations:

  • Coordinates all donor or patient/family facing events and tours at the children’s hospital.

  • Facilitates coordination and communication among many departments, such as hospital administration, UMF, Media Relations and Nursing, to ensure that appropriate, coordinated tours and events are provided.

  • In collaboration with other team members, creates the processes that promote exceptional events and tours within the children’s hospital.

  • Develops and supports day to day operations of Patient Family Support Services (PFSS) departments.

  • Supports purchasing and finance components for PFSS including but not limited to ordering, processing reimbursements, coordination with vendors.

  • Coordinate monthly hospital event meetings with all stakeholders.

  • Responds to patient, family, or community member inquiries.

  • Promotes patient/family opportunities in coordination with the University of Minnesota Foundation and other hospital partners.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

M inimum Qualifications to Fulfill Job Responsibilities :

Required

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, education, public health, management, human resources or other service field.

Experience

  • 3-5 years program or event coordination experience

Preferred

Education
