Description

This PRN position is 7-5:30p, 2-days a week and 2-Oncall nights with optional weekend call.

 

We’re seeking an experienced Endoscopy Nurse with experience in advanced GI procedures such as Bronchoscopy with ultrasound, Endoscopic ultrasounds, EGD and ERCP procedures. Our Registered Nurses are integral members of inter-professional teams in hospitals and clinics that are committed to outstanding patient care.   • Capable clinician who has acquired broad experience in caring for patients, and has developed a sound understanding about the care of a particular patient population.
  • Routinely uses acquired knowledge, theory, research, and experience to respond to changes in clinical situations.
  • Under general supervision, demonstrates a thorough knowledge of therapeutic patient care, patient advocacy, clinical pathways/care maps, team dynamics, and hospital systems.
  • Incorporates AACN Synergy Model into clinical practice.
  • Delegates appropriately utilizing the Synergy model of care and recognizes the roles of the interdisciplinary team, patient and family care partners utilizing them appropriately as resources in planning patient care.
  • Functions in a developing leadership role, Charge Nurse when assigned.
  • Orients staff or students as assigned in absence of designated preceptor.
  • Anticipates potential patient crises through continual evaluation of patient outcomes.
  • Identifies and implements a course of action in non-routine situations, seeking assistance to resolve complex issues.
  • Coordinates diagnostic procedures

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing 24 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
  • Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
  • BLS certification (AHA) required and ACLS may be required in designated departments
