socially responsible manner. We have operated in Colorado for more than 100
years and today have mining and milling operations near Leadville, Kremmling
and Empire. Our Climax mine is located between Frisco and Leadville.
The Climax Mine is seeking a Truck Driver I to perform duties related to the
operation of haul trucks to transport materials from loading areas to
processing areas at a skilled level.
- Responsible for understanding changes to assigned work areas and any
potential hazards.
- Responsible for performing inspections to maximize equipment and tire life
and executes assignments from computerized dispatch system and/or two-way
radio
- May assist with training and mentoring of other equipment operators
- May also operate other heavy equipment which may include, but is not
limited to, water trucks, motor graders, and track and rubber tire dozers
- Responsible for knowing the following procedures: start-up and
shut-down, fueling, fire, runaway, emergency, and accident
- Responsible for having knowledge of payload measurement system, over
speed alarm, dispatch codes, shovel and truck horn signals, secondary
brake, and park brake
