Job Description

An enterprise telecom client is seeking a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer to assist in infrastructure delivery (bare-metal and virtual compute) and automation, Infrastructure as Code. In this role, you will help build out, automate, and maintain the underlying infrastructure of a custom cloud solution. This role requires in depth experience with IaC, Bare-metal provisioning, lifecycle management of virtual machines, and API consumption/troubleshooting is critical.

Required Skills & Experience

Proficient in Bare-metal provisioning (PXE, Redfish, IPMI for remote management) and Linux/Unix Administration, hardware management (BIOS, firmware, RAID)
Infrastructure as code tools Ansible, Cloud-init and Terraform
Scripting experience in Python, Bash, Ruby, or Groovy
Canonical Metal as a Service, Red Hat OpenShift and OpenShift Virtualization, HPE iLO, Dell iDRAC
Familiarity with REST, JSON and YAML
Experience working with and deploying CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to create and maintain Method of Procedure documentation (MOPs) and architectural diagrams for use by system administrators.
Strong understanding of hardware and OS security and hardening, privileged access management.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with software defined networking is a plus
