Investment Banking UK FIG - VP - LONDON

We are seeking to hire a Vice President within the UK FIG Investment Banking team here at Citi (role has a focus on M&A, IPOs and private placements). We would ideally be looking for someone with prior investment banking experience (M&A, IPOs, private placements), ideally within UK FIG. A core part of the role will be IB coverage of Citi’s UK bank, UK wealth and UK stock exchange clients, though there is scope to have a wider focus (e.g. encapsulating insurance in the UK or otherwise) should the applicant wish. The UK FIG team has several junior team members, and any applicant will be expected to be comfortable overseeing and supporting them as they progress their careers at Citi.

Responsibilities:

• Work with clients, senior-level team members and outside professional advisors on M&A and special situation transactions
• Assume significant levels of responsibility for the various phases of project and transaction execution, new business development and overall growth of the team
• Responsible for drafting situation analyses, pitch materials, information memoranda, investor and management presentations and oversee work being performed by analysts & associates assigned to projects

Qualifications:

• Deal experience in the Financial Services industry, specifically within Investment Banking and ideally in UK FIG
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

This is a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.
