The Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension in the Department of Medicine at the University of Minnesota is recruiting a full-time Clinician Scholar at the rank of Assistant Professor with strong interest in research, especially research related to the health of women with kidney disease.The position will be 0.6 clinical full time equivalent (FTE), 0.4 research focused FTE. The candidate is expected to apply for research grants, write scientific papers, and establish collaborations to expand knowledge and skills.
Clinical practice will include outpatient clinics in the state of the art . Provide inpatient consult services at the , with the possibility of engagement in renal replacement therapy care at dialysis units in the Twin Cities. The Division is comprised 14 nephrologists, and 4 transplant nephrologists, many of whom are world-renown clinicians and researchers.
The University of Minnesota Medical School has a strong history of training and graduating top-quality medical students, residents and fellows, and this faculty position will be expected to contribute to the academic mission of the Department of Medicine and the Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension.
Essential requirements include an M.D. or international equivalent and board certification (or eligibility based on successful completion of General Nephrology fellowship program) in Nephrology. Ability to obtain a Minnesota Medical License, DEA, and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges. Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States.
