Job Description
Freestone Grove Partners LP, New York, NY seeks Risk Analyst - Identify, evaluate and report on current financial risks across investment strategies. Develop risk assessment models to help investors identify and manage investment characteristics. Develop computer simulation techniques to test resilience of institutions and investment portfolios. Conduct research to identify opportunities for enhancing risk management, investment behavior and portfolio construction. Contribute to the development of company risk management system. Work alongside senior investment teams (technical, quantitative, operations, trading) to determine risk exposure and analyze performance drivers. Identify and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
Requires Master’s (or foreign educ. equiv.) Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, Data Science or related and three (3) yrs. experience in Job Offered or related occupation such as Risk Analyst, Analytics Associate, Quantitative Associate or related occupation in the investment industry. Experience must have included three (3) yrs. analyzing portfolio risk, gathering data and conducting statistics analysis; Performing stress tests using computer simulation techniques; Risk Metrics/Barra, equity factor models, optimization, performance attribution and multi-asset risk; Proposing innovative risk strategy recommendations to senior management; and Using statistical analysis tools such as Python and SQL.
