We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Cloud Engineer in the Pharmaceutical industry, based in Dallas, Texas. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing Azure Cloud environments, ensuring high performance and security. Added to this, you will also have a role in automating complex infrastructure and operational workflows, and monitoring system performance.
Responsibilities:
• Experience with Azure DevOps is critical for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
• Efficiently design, deploy, and manage infrastructure in the Azure Cloud environment
• Undertake tasks related to Identity and Access Management (IAM) and manage enterprise applications within Azure Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory)
• Optimize cloud environments to maintain cost-efficiency, high availability, performance, and security
• Work with SQL or NoSQL databases like Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, or SQL Server
• Design and implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices for scalable infrastructure deployments
• Utilize Azure Security Center, Azure Policy, and Azure Key Vault tools for managing secrets and access controls
• Implement security frameworks such as zero trust architecture, data encryption, and key management
• Monitor system performance and availability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, or Grafana
• Automate operational workflows using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms
• Work with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Experience with Azure DevOps is critical for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
• Expertise in Entra ID is essential for synchronizing on-premises directories and enabling single sign-on.
• Knowledge of Entra ID is required for identity and access management.
• Advanced proficiency in automation and scripting using tools and languages such as PowerShell, Terraform, Bicep, Bash, JSON, YAML, Python, and KQL.
• Hands-on experience with SQL or NoSQL databases, such as Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, or SQL Server.
• Mastery of Azure Monitor is beneficial for comprehensive visibility and insights across applications and infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Azure Sentinel is crucial for security information and event management (SIEM).
• Experience with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) is important for deploying and managing resources.
• Expertise in Azure Pipelines is beneficial for implementing CI/CD pipelines.
