Adventures Plus - Inclusion Site Leader
Full Time 260 days/8 hrs/day

Locations: Multiple Elementary Sites

Adventures Plus is a child care program providing before and after school care for elementary age students and is located in various elementary schools throughout the District.

Duties:
Site Leader standard duties: Plan and carry out activities for school age children and supervise children and staff involved in the program. Work in direct contact with students and site staff at various site locations across the district in a split shift schedule. Driving between site locations will be required.

Inclusion Site Leader duties include:
In addition to the standard job responsibilities, the of the Inclusion Site Leader duties will include:
Work along our site staff to: assist in coaching and mentoring staff around the skills and structures of Conscious Discipline, the standard accommodations and modifications, and on implementing a child's Inclusion Plan, tipsheet, or health plan. Assist staff in adapting activities, as needed, to allow active participation by the child/ren. Assist Inclusion Program and Site Coordinators in observing and monitoring the implementation of a child's inclusion plan, tip sheet, or health plan on a regular basis. Assist the on-site Site Leader/Site Coordinator, as needed, in managing crisis situations. Serve on the Conscious Discipline Committee. Attend yearly Inclusion trainings. Attend on-site training with Inclusion Program and Site Coordinators, as needed, for students with medical needs (diabetes, catheter, feeding tube care, etc). Attend monthly in-services and all other required training. Assist Inclusion Site Coordinators in creating, compiling, and delivering supplies as needed for our students with needs. Attend parent meetings with Inclusion Program and Site Coordinators when needed. Provide professional development to staff which may require formal training certification. Assist Inclusion Program and Site Coordinators in the maintenance of records, files, and databases for all students receiving inclusion services. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree (60 college credits) / Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA); and 1 year (2080 hours) of experience working with children. ~ OR ~ 24 credits/240 training hours in Areas of Training/Credit listed below; and 2 years (4160 hours) of experience working with children in Out of School Time (OST).
Areas of Training / Credit: Social Emotional Development, Approaches to Learning, Language and Literacy, Cognitive Development, Creativity / Arts, Family Studies, Child Guidance, Physical Development / Health / Safety, Special Education, Child Development, Cultural Dynamics, Communication, Recreational programming, STEM
Current First Aid and CPR certification or must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment. Proof of CPI certification, or the ability to pass the CPI class. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions. Must be physically working in the building.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with traditionally marginalized communities preferred.

Rate of Pay: $20.13 / hour and up DOQ.
